Sunderland return to Premier League duty on Saturday, welcoming Manchester United to the Stadium of Light as they chase a top-half finish and possible European place.
Michael Carrick's side are in excellent form, their win over Liverpool last week leaving Champions League qualification virtually assured. According to Sunderland Echo, both Carrick and Régis Le Bris have near full-strength groups, though possible absences in key areas remain.
Lisandro Martinez is available after serving a three-game suspension for violent conduct, having been ruled to have pulled the hair of Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He is likely to come straight back into the XI.
Dan Ballard is out after the FA rejected Sunderland's appeal, so he begins a three-game suspension on Saturday. That leaves Le Bris with a significant decision at centre back and right back.
Benjamin Sesko is a doubt after being replaced at half-time last week, having aggravated a pre-existing shin problem when he collided with advertising hoardings. If he is absent, Amad could return to the starting XI.
Nilson Angulo has trained this week and is available to return to the squad. Le Bris has indicated he will initially be used as an impact substitute.
