Sunderland face Fulham at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, with both camps balancing returns and setbacks.
According to Sunderland Echo, Granit Xhaka has trained almost fully and is available for selection, and will need managing after around a month out.

Left back Reinildo has sustained a knee injury that will keep him out for around three weeks, with Sunderland hopeful he could return for the Newcastle United game.
For Fulham, Samuel Chukwueze is out with injury.
Tom Cairney has missed the last couple of matches with a calf issue. The problem is not considered severe, so a return this weekend remains possible.
