Sunderland Women to play five Stadium of Light games as WSL2 fixtures confirmed | OneFootball

Sunderland Women will have five Stadium of Light dates after the 2026/27 WSL2 fixtures were confirmed.

According to Sunderland Echo, the Lasses open at Eppleton CW against Bristol City on Sunday, September sixth, then visit newly promoted Burnley a week later.

The first Wear-Tyne derby is on Sunday, November 15th at the Stadium of Light, with Mel Reay's side hosting Newcastle United. The return is on Sunday, March 28th at St James' Park.

Other Stadium of Light ties are against Southampton on Sunday, September 20th, Nottingham Forest on Sunday, March 21st, Sheffield United on Sunday, April fourth, and Watford between May seventh and ninth, exact date to be confirmed. The Watford meeting will conclude Sunderland's WSL2 season.

The River Wear derby with Durham comes twice, first at Maiden Castle on Sunday, November eighth, then at Eppleton on Sunday, January 31st.

Niyah Dunbar has joined Norwich City on loan and Niamh Boothroyd has moved to Middlesbrough on loan. Fixtures are subject to change.
