Sunderland’s squad is valued at €381.95m, placing them below Fulham and above West Ham among Premier League clubs ahead of the summer window. Sunderland Echo highlights that the comparison comes as the club prepare for a landmark campaign.
Regis Le Bris led a seventh-place finish in their first season back in the Premier League, securing Europa League football. It will be only the second European campaign in the club’s history and the first since 1973.
They will play at least eight games in the league phase from September alongside the likes of Juventus and AC Milan. That schedule increases the strain on a squad set to compete in four competitions, with new arrivals linked and some exits possible.
Activity is unlikely to match last summer’s overhaul, which helped lift the squad’s value. Signings such as Habib Diarra, Noah Sadiki and Robin Roefs were central to that upturn.
At the top end, Manchester City are valued at €1.32bn, Arsenal at €1.23bn, Chelsea at €1.16bn, Liverpool at €1.02bn and Tottenham at €811.00m. Sunderland sit between Fulham on €387.85m and West Ham on €362.95m, with Brentford at €484.88m and Everton at €450.80m.
Sunderland’s highest-valued players are led by Habib Diarra at €32.00m and Noah Sadiki at €30.00m. Brian Brobbey, Enzo Le Fee, Robin Roefs, Chemsdine Talbi and Chris Rigg are each listed at €25.00m, Trai Hume at €22.00m, with Lutsharel Geertruida and Dan Ballard both €20.00m.
