Sunderland have overhauled their squad under Florent Ghisolfi, delivering nine signings, 29 departures and 18 new contracts this summer.

Six senior recruits arrived, including Thomas Meunier on a free from Lille. Dayann Méthalie came from Toulouse for a reported £25.7m, and Jules Ahoka from Royal Antwerp for about £8m.

Kevin Danso joined on loan from Tottenham with an obligation to buy if performance conditions are met, understood to be linked to avoiding relegation.
