Paraguay are through to the FIFA Women’s World Cup Intercontinental Group C Play-Off final following a win on penalties over Chinese Taipei.

Lai Li-Chin and Su Sin-Yun had Chinese Taipei two goals to the good, until Chamorro set up Dulce Quintana to net after 80 minutes and get the equaliser herself moments later.

There was no addition to the score during extra-time, Paraguay eventually progressing 4-2 in the shoot-out as Chamorro converted.

Panama won the other semi-final 2-0 over Papua New Guinea, with goals from Marta Cox and Riley Tanner

Paraguay will play Panama in the final (2am Thursday UK time – live on FIFA+), the winners to join the group of France, Jamaica and Brazil in the summer.
