The Supercoppa Italiana between Inter and Lazio has yet to secure a venue, with Lega Serie A assessing its options.

According to La Repubblica, the match will be played between 21 and 23 December and the competition reverts to a single fixture, pairing the Serie A champions with the Coppa Italia entrants, with Lazio qualifying as runners-up.

Morocco had expressed interest but has paused its bid and may return next year. American interest remains active, with a formal proposal expected in the coming days, after which the Lega Serie A board is due to review it.

If the game goes to the States, the East Coast is viewed as the likeliest destination, with the city still to be decided. In the absence of a financially compelling offer, San Siro, home of the reigning champions, is considered the probable fallback.

A definitive decision is expected before the end of September. The one-off format replaces the recent four-team editions in Saudi Arabia, which drew sustained criticism for stretching the calendar and taking the match away from Italian supporters.
