Suspect arrested over Ada Hegerberg burglary | OneFootball

A suspect has been arrested over the May burglary involving Ada Hegerberg, the national gendarmerie said in a statement.

The incident occurred overnight between 21 and 22 May, on the eve of the Champions League final between OL Lyonnes and Barcelona, which ended 0-4.

The arrest took place in Grenoble nearly four months later, after a DNA profile found at the scene by the Givors research brigade was analysed. The unit had been tasked by the Lyon public prosecutor to lead the investigation.

The analysis identified the defendant. His trial is scheduled for five November at his request to prepare his defence. He was initially referred for an immediate appearance after two days in police custody.

Several of the club’s players have previously been targeted in similar break-ins in the Lyon suburbs in recent years, including Eugénie Le Sommer and Alexandre Lacazette. Georges Mikautadze also suffered an armed robbery.
