PSV beat Sparta Rotterdam 4-1 to climb from second to first in the Eredivisie.

In the 15th minute, Milan Zonneveld finished a through ball to put Sparta ahead. Sven Mijnans levelled with a glancing header (23.), then Kodai Sano rifled in from distance to turn it around (39.), both created by Esmir Bajraktarević.

After the restart, Zonneveld nodded a big chance over (46.). Matej Kovar then tipped the forward's close-range header onto the frame to preserve the lead (62.).

After a triple change on the hour, the Boeren found extra thrust. Ivan Perišić, Ricardo Pepi and Ruben van Bommel entered before Mijnans stabbed in his second from close range (74.).

The midfielder sealed his treble late on, arrowing a left-footer from outside the box into the top left after Lutsharel Geertruida's pass (88.).

The Boeren controlled the game with 76% possession and 28 attempts, 10 on target. Sparta Rotterdam produced 10 attempts and won five corners.
