According to BBC UK, Swansea City are poised to complete the season-long loan signing of Manchester City's Jeremy Monga, with Leo Walta set to leave on loan.

A deal is in place for the 17-year-old, who is due for a medical with a view to completing before Tuesday's 23:00 BST deadline to join Vitor Matos' side.

Walta, a Finland international, was left out of Saturday's 3-0 win at Derby County and is set to join Major League Soccer side Los Angeles.

Swansea are also closing in on Huddersfield Town midfielder Tom Iorpenda.

Monga came through Leicester City's academy and debuted for the Foxes at 15 in the 2024-25 season, playing 30 Championship games last term before signing a five-year deal with Man City this summer.

He became the youngest Championship goal scorer with a strike in a 2-1 defeat by Preston North End in August last year.

The Swans have already strengthened out wide with Elijah Just, Moussa Yeo and Joseph Opoku.

In midfield, they sold Ethan Galbraith to Stoke City and added Canada international Stephen Eustaquio from Porto, while Goncalo Franco is out until October after ankle surgery.

Walta joined from Swedish side Sirius on loan in February, a move made permanent this summer, and has featured only as a late substitute in the 2-1 win at Stoke and in the 1-0 EFL Cup defeat by Birmingham City.

Swansea remain unbeaten in the league and host Watford at the Swansea.com Stadium on Tuesday at 19:45 BST.
