Championship side Swansea City host a Nottingham Forest team in transition on Wednesday for a third-round Carabao Cup tie.
The match presents a classic cup narrative. An in-form Swansea side, unbeaten in their last six games, will look to cause an upset against a Premier League opponent.
Forest, meanwhile, travel to South Wales under new manager Ange Postecoglou, who is desperate for a victory to kickstart his tenure.
Luke Williams is expected to rotate his squad, but is missing midfielders Jay Fulton and Marko Stamenic due to groin injuries. Goalkeeper Andy Fisher, who has featured in the previous rounds, is set to start. Liam Cullen and Sam Parker are also pushing for inclusion.
Ange Postecoglou is without Nicolas Dominguez and Ola Aina for the trip to Wales. In addition, key defender Murillo is a major doubt after being forced off with an injury against Arsenal at the weekend.
The new manager may still name a strong side as he seeks to build momentum.
The Swans are in excellent form, having put together a six-match unbeaten run in all competitions since the opening day of the season. They have a perfect home record this campaign. However, they were denied a victory at the weekend by a 97th-minute equaliser from Hull City in a 2-2 draw.
Forest’s season has been defined by disruption. The sudden dismissal of manager Nuno Espírito Santo, despite a mixed start to the season, led to the appointment of Ange Postecoglou. His tenure began with a comprehensive 3-0 defeat at Arsenal. Consequently, this cup tie is a vital opportunity to build confidence.
Swansea City predicted XI: Fisher; Parker, Cabango, Burgess, Tymon; Galbraith, Widell; Ronald, Cullen, Eom; Vipotnik
Nottingham Forest predicted XI: John; Savona, Milenkovic, Morato, Williams; Luiz, Anderson; Bakwa, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Kalimuendo
The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football in the UK. Coverage begins at 7:30 pm BST.
