Swimming: Angélica André named among top 40 women in sport 2025

Angélica André is included in Forbes' list of the 40 most influential women in sports in 2025. The swimmer, who stood out in both pool and open water events in 2025, appears in the renowned magazine alongside names from football, futsal, basketball, surfing, padel, and adaptive sports.

The year proved to be full of achievements for the blue and white athlete: in February, she reached the top 5 in the world open water ranking; in June, she won the gold medal in the 1500 meters freestyle at the Porto International Meeting; and in December, she became National Short Course Champion by winning the 1500 meters freestyle, also adding titles in the 200 meters breaststroke and 400 meters individual medley at the National Club Championship.
