Sylvaine Mignogna will leave TF1 after 44 years, including 42 with Téléfoot and following the France team. The 65-year-old said goodbye to Les Bleus on Monday night.
Her farewell came after France’s final 2026 World Cup warm-up, a 3-1 win over Northern Ireland. According to L'Équipe, she will officially depart the channel on 3 July.
Didier Deschamps paid tribute, noting she kept the operation running smoothly and thanking her for her availability and warmth.
Mignogna joined TF1 in 1982 after a speculative application, and moved to Téléfoot in January 1984, encouraged by Didier Roustan. She has also worked as a journalist since the early 2000s.
An essential figure behind TF1’s live football coverage, she arranged accreditations, travel and interviews, and escorted Les Bleus from the tunnel to TF1’s media room.
She supported commentators Thierry Roland, Thierry Gilardi, Christian Jeanpierre and Grégoire Margotton, and consultants Jean-Michel Larqué and Bixente Lizarazu, as well as reporters.
Players across generations saw her as a nurturing presence and sometimes a lucky charm, and she built close ties with Didier Deschamps, Marcel Desailly and Bixente Lizarazu.
She is set for a final Téléfoot on Sunday before stepping away.
