After losing the transfer poker for Anthony Gordon, FC Bayern seem to have already set their sights on a new candidate for the offensive. According to the latest information, the Munich club are intensively looking at Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven

The German record champions are working hard to strengthen their offense, and after dream player Anthony Gordon moved to FC Barcelona, the focus is apparently on a new name: Ismael Saibari

As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports, FC Bayern have already begun initial talks with the player’s side. According to the report, the Moroccan international is extremely open to a move to Säbener Straße and is even said to be „keen“ to wear the record champions‘ shirt in future

Saibari fits the Bayern profile perfectly

The 25-year-old has been one of PSV Eindhoven’s top performers for years and also impressed with strong figures last season. In 27 league games, Saibari scored 15 goals and assisted a further eight, playing a major part in the Dutch side’s third league title in a row

Of particular interest to Bayern is his flexibility: Saibari is most comfortable in attacking midfield, but can also play on either wing or as a center forward

It is precisely this versatility that Munich are currently looking for. Internally, the signing of an attacking player is one of the top priorities. They are looking for a professional who can be deployed both on the flanks and in the center and relieve Harry Kane when necessary

Transfer fee still open

However, it is still unclear what transfer fee PSV Eindhoven will ask for their top performer. According to Romano, the player is currently waiting for a concrete asking price from the Dutch champions

Saibari is still under contract until 2029, which is why Eindhoven are in a strong negotiating position. At the same time, the current situation on the transfer market could suit Bayern. After the failed attempts with Anthony Gordon and other top candidates, Munich are likely to increasingly look for players who are convincing in sporting terms, but who are much cheaper to realise financially

Bayern examines further alternatives

The name Saibari thus joins a list of potential attacking reinforcements currently being discussed at Säbener Straße. After transfers of Anthony Gordon or Yan Diomande have recently become increasingly unrealistic, the pressure on the sporting management around Max Eberl and Christoph Freund to present a suitable solution is growing

Saibari could be exactly the kind of transfer that Bayern have often successfully implemented in the past: a player capable of development with international experience, a high degree of flexibility and significantly less financial risk than the really big names on the market

Whether the Munich club will actually make a concrete move is likely to depend on PSV’s demands, but their interest already appears to be much more concrete than previously known.
