Initial conversations have taken place between Chelsea’s recruitment team and Ajax over a potential move for Jorrel Hato according to talkSPORT.
The Blues are once again set for a busy summer and have already completed a £30m move for Ipswich striker Liam Delap, whilst they are also looking for a centre back and right footed attacker.
Chelsea face a critical window and could sell as many as seven or eight players in order to fund their business with a number of squad members now surplus to requirements.
Whilst a striker is the main priority, and the Blues may look to add another after Delap, the club are in the market for defensive reinforcements.
The Blues need an alternative for Marc Cucurella as the Spaniard is currently the only natural left back in the squad.

The Blues have been linked with Ajax teenager Hato, and talkSPORT have reported initial conversations have been held between Chelsea’s recruitment team and the Dutch giants over a move for the 19-year-old.
The report adds a number of Premier League clubs including Arsenal have shown interest in Hato, who can also play at centre back, whilst his arrival would clear the way for Renato Veiga to depart.
Despite his tender years Hato has already made 111 appearances for Ajax and has experience of playing in European competition.
Whilst Hato would give a much needed alternative at left back, Chelsea are thought to still be looking for an out and out centre back.
Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi is said to be of interest and it’s been reported the Blues are weighing up an approach for the England international.

Guehi has just 12 months left on his current deal and could be available at a cut price, but he’s also attracting interest from Newcastle.
If the Blues want to resign the 24-year-old then they will need to move fast, but he’s certainly a great market opportunity and would improve the Chelsea defence.
