The German international, who joined the Magpies from Stuttgart last month, will lead the line for Eddie Howe's men at St. James' Park, with Will Osula reverting to the bench in one of three changes from the side that drew 0-0 at Leeds in the final game before the international break.
The other alterations see Joelinton return to the midfield in place of the injured Jacob Ramsey, who misses out along with fellow summer arrival Yoane Wissa, while Harvey Barnes is in at Sven Botman's expense as United look to inflict more misery on a winless Wolves side who currently sit bottom of the table.
Nick Pope continues in goal, with Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schär, Dan Burn and Tino Livramento starting in defence for the hosts.
In midfield, Sandro Tonali, Joelinton and captain Bruno Guimarães resume their partnership, with Woltemade joining Jacob Murphy and Barnes further forward.
Osula and Anthony Elanga are the attacking options on the bench, with Lewis Miley and Joe Willock the reinforcements in the middle of the park.
Emil Krafth, Malick Thiaw, Botman and Lewis Hall represent an alternative backline should Howe need defensive backup, with Aaron Ramsdale the substitute goalkeeper.
