Corinthians have completed preparations for Tuesday’s Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino semi-final first leg at Bahia, with Thaís Regina stressing focus and belief. Kick-off is 21:30 at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador.
“Our week was very intense, focused on what we will propose in the first semi-final. We trained very hard with that focus. We know Bahia are improving all the time, and it is not by chance,” she told Corinthians TV.
“The investment there has been good and is growing, but we will impose our tempo and show what Corinthians are,” she added.
Corinthians have now reached the semi-finals for the 10th straight season, a run dating back to 2017. “It is no accident that we are in another semi-final, it is 10 in a row for Corinthians. We will do what we know,” she said.
The sides drew 1-1 at Fonte Nova on 15 August in the first phase. Bahia progressed by knocking out Palmeiras on penalties, while Corinthians beat Cruzeiro in both quarter-final games.
The return is next Monday, 21 September, at Neo Química Arena, with Corinthians to decide the tie at home after the best campaign.
