Football League World has taken a look at the players set to miss Blackburn Rovers' welcome of QPR
Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers are set to do battle at Ewood Park with both sides looking to make further inroads on the top six.
After a dismal start to the season, Rovers have won four of their last five league matches to move away from the relegation zone and closer towards the play-off places.
QPR were on a dismal run of picking up just one point in four matches before the November international break, but defeated high-flying Hull City 3-2 last time out to score a much-needed three points.
Ahead of the clash, Football League World has taken a look at which players from both teams are set to miss out via injury or suspension.

Hayden Carter made a return to the Blackburn Rovers squad for their defeat against Derby County before the November international break, but suffered a huge setback relating to his calf.
Unfortunately for the East Lancashire outfit, this rules him out of the QPR clash.

After requiring surgery due to a knee injury at the start of November, Toth was ruled out of action for three months.
This leaves Rovers without their No.1 ‘keeper, promoting Aynsley Pears to the role.

Scott Wharton suffered an Achilles tendon injury at the beginning of the month, which will leave him sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Having started nine league games for Blackburn, the 28-year-old’s absence is another uncomfortable one for Valerien Ismael.

Winger Augustus Kargbo is likely to be out of action until the New Year, which in turn means he won’t be able to face QPR.
A thigh problem has plagued Kargbo this season, limiting him to just three Championship starts.

Todd Cantwell has played no part in Blackburn’s last seven matches and isn’t likely to make a return to face QPR.
A knee issue has prevented the former Norwich City and Rangers man from excelling at Ewood Park this term, which will be extremely frustrating for supporters amid their other injury woes.

One of QPR’s best performers this season, Harvey Vale missed the matchday squad for the first time this season last time out against Hull City.
Julien Stephan stated that his absence was down to a “little injury”, but it isn’t likely that he will return to face Blackburn.

Ziyad Larkeche suffered an ACL injury during the summer, which has ruled him out of action so far this season.
Therefore, this means the 23-year-old won’t be able to compete at Ewood Park.

Joe Walsh has been out of action since early September, after breaking his wrist.
