Former Chelsea player John Terry has reacted to Chelsea hard-fought 1-1 draw against league leaders Arsenal.
Unfortunately, the draw was not enough to get back into second spot in the Premier League, but it was a game that was always going to be tough for The Blues, but even tougher once they went down to ten men.
But Terry thinks Chelsea were the better team and actually deserved to win the game, even with ten men. And I don’t think there should be anyone out there really disagreeing with that.
Moises Caicedo saw himself get a straight red for a very silly tackle in the 38th minute of the game, leaving his teams having to play a chunk of it with a man short.
Chelsea took the lead though early in the second half and it had the whole of Stamford Bridge believing that we could even go on to win this game with ten men.

Speaking on TikTok after the game in words cited on X, Terry said on the Arsenal game:
“The game’s just finished [in a draw] but I’m absolutely delighted with that performance from the boys. I thought we were by far the better team, regardless of spending the majority of the game down to 10 men.
“Overall I’m delighted and we rest up and keep going. We have to be delighted with that today because Arsenal have been rolling teams over week after week so far. Hence why they’re top of the league.
“But they don’t get any further away from us in this title race so far. I think today, we’ve shown we can compete with the very best in the league and give everyone a run for their money.”
