This together with the views expressed by CSA and AISCC yesterday now all adds up to provide a clear overall picture of the views of the Celtic supporters who travel to home and away matches via Celtic supporters clubs.
Celtic must surely take notice, and come forward to the support with a view to restore unity, listen to concerns and address the matters that have been raised.
Like just about everyone else who has commented the Affiliation is deeply disappointed with the statement that the club issued around 9pm on Saturday evening. The believe that the statement was ‘cold, clinical and devoid of genuine emotion’ arguing that it ‘failed to engage with the concerns raised by our members, offering instead a sterile response steeped in corporate jargon and financial defensiveness.’

The statement continues by pointing out that ‘the tone not only dismiss the passion and intelligence of the Celtic support but also signals a worrying detachment from the values that have long defined our club.”
‘Celtic Football Club was built on foundation of inclusion, integrity and solidarity. The current direction, as reflected in the Club’s statement and recent actions, risks eroding those very principles. Our members feel unheard, and the lack of meaningful engagement undermines the trust that should exist between the club and its supporters.’
‘Following extensive consultation, the Affiliation has now held a formal vote of no confidence in the Clubs leadership. The result was clear and unanimous: our supporters clubs do not support the current Board’s approach or its handling of recent events.’
‘The Affiliation remains committed to constructive engagement, but we will not stand by while our concerns are dismissed and diluted. The relationship between Club and supporters must be more than transactional – it must be rooted in shared purpose, mutual respect and the values that define Celtic’s identity.’
Here’s the full statement.
