Kofane thanked by Albacete

Albacete Balompié has expressed its gratitude to its former Cameroonian striker Christian Kofane, who has signed with Bayer Leverkusen.
After a string of impressive performances with the Iberian club during the 2024-2025 season, the Douala-born talent recently committed to the German football powerhouse, which did not hesitate to trigger his release clause, valued at 5.25 million euros.
Toché, Albacete's sporting director, has already stated he is ready to welcome back the Cameroonian gem should he struggle to make his mark in Germany.
It's a story that has been brewing for months and it's been a concern for us because he's a player who has helped us grow tremendously. We will always have open doors for him if he decides to return. We must invest the money from Kofane's transfer wisely to continue growing, not only with signings but also by improving our facilities and team development.
In 20 appearances in Liga 2, the Cameroonian prodigy netted 8 goals and provided a single assist.
