After months of waiting, Barcelona are finally in a position to return to Spotify Camp Nou, having received the necessary permits from the City Council and La Liga.

As such, the club have confirmed they will be able to host Athletic Club at the renovated Camp Nou this coming weekend, with a total capacity of just over 45,000.

Ticket prices skyrocket for Camp Nou return

However, as reported by SPORT, Barcelona fans will have to pay a fortune to see their beloved team finally return to the iconic Camp Nou.

For this first match back home, ticket prices have surged well beyond the levels seen at Montjuic.

The cheapest available option starts at €199, covering areas such as the South Goal (upper second tier) and various corner sections.

Prices climb through the rest of the stadium: second-tier, first-tier and lateral sections range from €209 to €355, while central and tribune locations move closer to the €400 mark.

The highest category costs an eye-watering €589 for central first-tier seating. Even with a 20% discount for season-ticket holders, the cost remains particularly steep for a regular league match.

The reopening of Camp Nou is expected to deliver a major economic lift for the club. In around a month, Phase 1C will expand capacity to 62,500, exceeding the Montjuic by 12,500 seats and immediately increasing matchday revenue.

The club will also avoid the substantial rent previously paid for Montjuic, which ranged from €300,000 to €900,000 per match.

Having already secured a return to La Liga, Barcelona, meanwhile, are also awaiting UEFA’s approval that would allow them to return Champions League football to Camp Nou, with the club particularly keen on hosting Eintracht Frankfurt on December 9.
