The most exciting week is about to begin for the young players from Juventus Academies around the world, who will compete in Val Susa and Turin leading up to the Finals on Thursday, June 11.
Now in its seventh edition, the tournament features 83 teams from 32 international Academies and 25 different countries, ready to face off in hundreds of matches starting tomorrow.
The teams will be divided into four categories: Under-13, featuring players born in 2013 competing in a 9-on-9 format; Under-12, for those born in 2014, also 9-on-9; Under-11, reserved for players born in 2015, with 7-on-7 matches; and Under-10, for players born in 2016, also featuring 7-on-7 matches.
Following the opening ceremony on June 7 at Allianz Stadium, the tournament will get underway from June 8 to 10 with the first-round matches in Val Susa. On the afternoon of June 10, the second phase will begin, with teams divided into Gold, Silver, and Bronze groups, before the Finals scheduled for the morning of Thursday, June 11, between Val Susa and the Juventus Training Center in Vinovo. The matches will take place in various locations: Turin, Vinovo, Bardonecchia, Oulx, Sauze d’Oulx, and Susa.
It is an increasingly global event, showcasing the strength of the Juventus Academy project around the world: 32 Academies, 25 countries, over 900 players, more than 600 parents and 130 coaches united under the same colours. From Africa to Asia, from Europe to the Americas and on to Oceania, the Juventus Academy World Cup reaffirms its international scope and its ability to unite different cultures, languages and stories through football.
Juventus President Gianluca Ferrero and Juventus Legend Leonardo Bonucci attended the grand ceremony at the Allianz Stadium to wish all the young players the very best of luck.
