Liam Delap believes the Chelsea players have brought into the messages Liam Rosenior has delivered since arriving earlier this year.

The 41-year-old signed a six and half year contract after replacing Enzo Maresca, and has already made a positive impact in a short space of time.

Rosenior has guided the Blues to eight wins from his 11 games in charge, and remains unbeaten in the Premier League.

Chelsea certainly appear to be more pleasing on the eye, and are playing with more freedom, which has resulted in more goals being scored.

In fact the Blues have scored 28 goals in his 11 games in charge, but defensively things haven’t been as good with only three clean sheets registered.

Despite scoring more goals, Delap has yet to find the back of the net under Rosenior, but he claimed the players have all brought into the message from the manager.

“I know [Rosenior] from before [at Hull City],” he told Chelsea’s website.

“I think the messages he’s brought into the group, we all buy into it. You can see by the results we’re getting that we’re doing well.

“So hopefully we can build on that and improve in every game.”

Chelsea striker has struggled

Delap has struggled this season, and has only scored twice in 24 appearances in all competitions, with questions now being asked about his performances.

Jamie Carragher has claimed Delap made too big a step joining Chelsea from Ipswich, whilst Roy Keane believes he’s lacking confidence.

Despite not scoring, Rosenior was full of praise for Delap’s performance against Hull, and the England under-21 international ended the evening with three assists.

Delap is currently playing second fiddle to Joao Pedro, and more competition is set to arrive in the summer in the form of Emmanuel Emegha.
