Konrad Laimer’s contract extension appears to be on the verge of being finalized. After months of negotiations, only the final details remain to be worked out.
FC Bayern is on the verge of another major contract extension. After months of talks with Konrad Laimer, a final agreement now appears to have been reached.
As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports, the Austrian national team player’s contract extension is in the home stretch. According to him, negotiations are nearing completion, and Laimer is set to officially sign his new contract shortly.
kicker also reports that only the final details remain to be worked out. The 28-year-old is then set to become the next Bayern player to sign his new contract.
All signs clearly point to a contract extension.
There had already been indications in recent days that a breakthrough had been achieved. Both *kicker* and Sky recently reported in unison that all differences between the two parties had been resolved.
Financial terms, in particular, had complicated the talks for a while. However, an agreement is now said to have been reached. According to reports, Laimer will receive a moderate pay raise.
This rewards the Austrian for his strong development in Munich. Since joining FC Bayern, Laimer has become an important part of the squad and consistently impresses with his versatility.
Internally, it had long been considered likely that the talks would ultimately be successful.

Laimer feels very at home at FC Bayern and appreciates both the athletic prospects and the proximity to his Austrian homeland. In addition, the 28-year-old has established himself as a key player on the team in recent years.
Laimer is currently with the Austrian national team at the World Cup. For organizational reasons, the final signing could therefore be delayed slightly.
However, in terms of the deal itself, everything appears to be settled. According to Romano, an agreement is imminent, and negotiations are practically complete. For FC Bayern, the contract extension would be another important signal in their ongoing personnel planning.
