FC Bayern continues to scout for Europe’s top young talents. According to recent media reports, the Munich club is showing interest in Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli of Chelsea FC. The 16-year-old is considered one of England’s most promising midfield prospects—though a move to Säbener Straße is likely to be difficult at this time.
It’s no secret that FC Bayern keeps a close eye on top English prospects. In 2019, the Munich club pulled off a major transfer coup with Jamal Musiala when they signed the then-16-year-old from Chelsea FC. The young English player has since developed into one of the most valuable soccer players in the world.
Now, the record champions may once again have set their sights on a talent from the Blues.
According to the website Transferfeed, Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli is among the players FC Bayern is closely monitoring. The report states that the Munich club has even already made an offer to the player’s side.
The midfielder is considered one of the top talents at the Chelsea Academy and also regularly plays for the English U-17 national team. Xabi Alonso is also currently evaluating Nicoll-Jazuli as part of the team’s summer training camp.
With his technical ability, creativity, and game intelligence, the 16-year-old is considered one of the most exciting young players of his age group.
In addition to FC Bayern, Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain is also said to be interested in signing him.

However, the chances of a move to Munich currently appear slim. According to Transferfeed, Nicoll-Jazuli is expected to continue his development at Chelsea FC.
According to The Athletic, the youngster has already signed a new development contract. This is set to automatically convert into a professional contract on his 17th birthday in January.
This likely signals that Chelsea intends to build its long-term plans around the young English national team player.
It remains to be seen whether Nicoll-Jazuli will actually follow a career path similar to that of Jamal Musiala. For now, however, there are strong indications that his path will continue at Stamford Bridge for the time being.
