The former Burkina Faso national team coach has submitted his application to lead the Stallions’ dugout for a second time.

The identities of several candidates for the Stallions’ head coach position continue to emerge. According to information obtained by CS Médias, Kamou Malo has applied to reclaim the helm of Burkina Faso’s senior national team.

The 63-year-old coach finished his campaign at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in fourth place. Upon his return, his contract—which was set to expire—was not renewed.

Domestically, Kamou Malo has won all the major titles in Burkinabè football, including four national league titles: twice with Rail Club du Kadiogo (2016 and 2017) and twice with AS Douanes (2023 and 2024).

Since July 2025, he has been in Guinea Conakry, where he manages Club Industriel de Kamsar (CIK).
