Looking for their 11th league win of the season, Paris Saint-Germain's women's team beat Guingamp 5-0 in their rescheduled D1 Arkema Round 11 match at the Campus PSG on Saturday 17 February.

Ahead of the impending international break, Paris Saint-Germain's women's team had a chance to play their postponed Round 6 match against EAG. After a spectacular 1-1 draw in Lyon on Sunday and a 4-0 win at Le Puy en Velay - which secured them a place in the Coupe de France semi-finals - on Wednesday, Jocelyn Prêcheur's side were keen to close the gap on Lyon and consolidate second place in the standings.

Les Rouge et Bleues took just two minutes and 30 seconds to open the scoring, Elisa De Almeida cutting inside at the near post from a Sakina Karchaoui corner (1-0, 3'). On the half-hour mark, the Parisians doubled their advantage through the inevitable Chawinga, who beat the entire Breton defence for speed before lifting the ball deftly over the on-rushing 'keeper for a trademark Chawinga goal (2-0, 30')!

Captain Grace Geyoro scored her side's third with 20 minutes remaining. Chawinga broke down the left before hitting a cut-back cross. Geyoro struck with the flat of her right foot to get the better of the Breton goalkeeper and put her side ahead (3-0, 69'). Moments later, Manssita Traoré forced an own-goal from a Guingamp central defender after a curling cross from the right (4-0, 75').

Geyoro rounded off her side's success with the fifth goal of the match, a powerful shot from the edge of the area that the Guingamp goalkeeper could only parry - but not enough to stop the ball ending up in the back of the net (5-0, 87').

So, all-in-all a convincing catch-up session for Les Parisiennes, who passed the test with flying colours before heading off to the international break!
