América continue to work on signing important players for the 2022 Clausura campaign as Santiago Solari hopes to deliver his first title to the Estadio Azteca.
According to multiple sources, there’s a deal in place between Necaxa and América to send Alejandro Zendejas to Mexico City.
Journalist Alejandro Alfaro claims that the Eagles have paid the Aguascalientes-based club $3m to make the midfielder their third signing of the window.
It’s expected that Zendejas will be officially announced and presented in the coming days.
The Eagles will hope that their new signings (Diego Valdés and Jonathan dos Santos) will be able to hit the ground running after allowing 24 shots in their season-opening match, which saw América call up six academy players into the matchday squad.
