The Sack Race: Who's next to go?

The Premier League has already seen three managerial changes since the start of the season but who's next to be moved on?
Nottingham Forest make up two of the three sackings in the league thus far, dispensing with Nuno Espírito Santo and Ange Postecoglou in quick succession. Meanwhile, Graham Potter was dismissed by West Ham United after a poor start to the season.
Playmaker looks at the bookies' odds to see who they reckon is next in line...
Vítor Pereira Odds: 4/6
The bookies are expecting Pereira to be gone sooner rather than later based on those odds. Wolverhampton Wanderers have had a terrible start to the season and are the only team in the top four tiers yet to record a win. The 3-2 defeat to Burnley now means it is 13 games without a win for Pereira's side. Indeed, their last win was part of a six-game winning streak.
For the most part, it seems recruitment is the main problem for Wolves right now with no one quite able to produce the magic of Matheus Cunha.
Last weekend also felt like a turning point for Vítor Pereira, with his confrontation with fans looking like a bad omen.
Nuno Espírito Santo Odds: 5/1
Could Nuno be sacked twice in a Premier League season?
So far, it seems like he hasn't been able to improve a very poor West Ham United team. The Hammers have suffered seven defeats in nine games so far – one of which was by Nottingham Forest when Nuno Espírito Santo was in charge. Since being given the West Ham job, the Portuguese manager has yet to win in four games, including three defeats on the bounce.
Friday night's 2-1 loss away to Leeds United felt particularly damaging in the context of two teams who may potentially face relegation come the end of the season.
Perhaps most worrying for West Ham is the teams they have faced so far – games they should be getting something from. The Irons are yet to face Liverpool or the two Manchester teams – something they will be doing in the space of five games from late November to mid-December. That's a run that also includes Brighton away and Aston Villa at home.
It's a daunting fixture list coming up and one that could prove decisive for the West Ham board.
Daniel Farke Odds: 8/1
While Leeds are above the bottom three it feels unlikely that Farke will get the axe but the odds given by the bookies suggest that could be a possibility in the future.
So far, Leeds have beaten Everton, Wolves, and West Ham in the league – the kind of games they need to be winning to keep their place in the Premier League.
However, things can soon change in football. Between the end of November and the start of January they'll be facing Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and two games against champions Liverpool. Should other teams below them get their act together and Leeds struggle then the tide could potentially turn.
Marco Silva Odds: 12/1
Fulham are just three points above the drop zone and have struggled to show that they can match the 11th place position they achieved under Marco Silva last season.
The Cottagers have lost their last four games in the Premier League after conceding a late Bruno Guimarães goal away to Newcastle United on Saturday.
Unlike some of the teams around them, Fulham have a slightly more favourable fixture list with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City the only 'big' clubs they'll have to face before the end of 2025.
Of course, should losses continue then Silva's position may prove untenable but right now it's hard to imagine they'll be in any rush to change managers.
Arne Slot Odds: 12/1
Surely not? Arne Slot led Liverpool to the league title in his first season at the club and although things have started poorly for the Reds this season it's hard to imagine the Dutch manager being sacked.
The club has had a difficult summer, not least with the passing of Diogo Jota – something that is surely having an impact on those who played with him. Meanwhile, some of the new signings haven't worked out yet especially considering the amount of cash spent.
Although Hugo Ekitiké seems to have adapted quickly to life at Anfield, Miloš Kerkez and Florian Wirtz are struggling – the latter potentially not helped by his big price tag as a young signing still adapting to a new league.
Meanwhile, Alexander Isak has scored just once in eight appearances for the club and is yet to show the form he demonstrated at Newcastle United.
Of course, things could still come together for Liverpool but they'll need a positive change sooner rather than later.
