For Club Deportivo Guadalajara and the Jorge Vergara Foundation, active participation in our state's society is fundamental. Therefore, it is with great pride that this morning marked the formal conclusion of the second generation of Semillero Rojiblanco, a social program in conjunction with the Government of Jalisco that seeks to bring Chivas' training methodology to every corner of the state.

Semillero Rojiblanco was launched in September 2023 and seeks to promote sports culture and good habits through soccer training for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 13, using Chivas' methodology and supervision. Each training session includes a life skills session, technical and tactical work, and a simulated match, as well as healthy snacks.

The event was attended by Ana Karina Vázquez, Chief Operating Officer of the Jorge Vergara Foundation; Fernando Ortega, Director of CODE Jalisco; Priscila Franco, Secretary of the Social Assistance System of the state of Jalisco; and Andrea Blanco Calderón, General Strategic Coordinator of Social Development for the state of Jalisco. They were joined by Alan Mozo, Hugo Camberos, Yael Padilla, and Santiago Sandoval, players from the Rojiblanco First Team.

There are 13 municipalities in Jalisco that benefit from Semillero Rojiblanco: Acatlán, Autlán, Ameca, Lagos de Moreno, Ocotlán, Tlajomulco, Zapotlán el Grande, Jalostotitlán, Colula, Tecalitlán, Acatic, and Arandas. A total of 390 boys and girls from these municipalities are part of the program, and on Sunday morning they competed in a tournament at the Gigantera facilities in a great atmosphere.

The results of Semillero Rojiblanco are visible, as three players from this second generation have already been selected for close monitoring by Cantera Rojiblanca: Liam Pedroza, Roberto Villegas, and Ashley Munguía.

Fernando Ortega, Director of CODE Jalisco

I want to express my gratitude for the opportunity to take the academies to a higher level of performance. Don Jorge Vergara (RIP) was a visionary: he wanted these Rojiblancos colors to be passed down from generation to generation, and that is what we have done.

Andrea Blanco, General Strategic Coordinator of Social Development for Jalisco

The important thing about sports is the values that will help us throughout our lives. Here you have professional players who are role models, because of all the effort, hard work, and consistency of them and their families.

Ana Karina Vázquez, Chief Operating Officer of the Jorge Vergara Foundation

We are closing a program that has given us excellent results. It reflects the work of the coaches and the commitment of each one of you.Today you are all champions, you are winners, because you are realizing the effort you have made. This is the beginning of everything you can achieve, so continue to take care of yourselves physically and mentally.

Hugo Camberos, Chivas soccer player

I started out like you. I dreamed every day of starting to play, and when I was given the opportunity to come to tryouts, I took full advantage of it. I invite you to continue dreaming, to continue believing in yourselves. All the sacrifices are worth it; anything is possible.
