Manchester City and Swansea have confirmed their starting lineups ahead of tonight’s fourth-round Carabao Cup tie at the Swansea.com Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s side enters tonight’s match off the back of a 1-nil defeat to Aston Villa last Sunday. They’ll be hoping to bounce back against a Swansea side who will be eager to put in a good performance and cause a significant upset in front of their home support. A tricky cup tie could await City tonight.
For Manchester City, they will enter tonight’s match with almost every player available for selection. Rodri is the only player who is unavailable for tonight’s match. The Spanish international has resumed training but won’t play tonight. Abdukodir Khusanov will play some part in tonight’s match as he has returned the foot injury he sustained against Arsenal. Pep Guardiola told the media yesterday that Khusanov will play some minutes tonight. The match is also an opportunity for players such as Rayan Cherki, Omar Marmoush and Rayan Ait-Nouri to get meaningful minutes into the legs after their injury lay-offs.
