“There is an idea” – Fabrizio Romano reveals internal Chelsea transfer plans | OneFootball

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed the latest internal Chelsea transfer plans on one player this January transfer window.

The Blues have not done any business at all yet this winter as we go into day 20 of the transfer window being open. Not even any player sales, with the likes of Axel Disasi, Raheem Sterling, and Tyrique George all looking to leave this window.

Chelsea are also trying to sign a new centre back themselves this window, and the pursuit of Jeremy Jacquet is having that all too familiar deja vu feeling about it unfortunately, with the latest updates out this morning.

There was even talk yesterday of Chelsea potentially turning to alternative options, with two other names mentioned as being on their shortlist.

So who knows what is going to happen with that one now. But there are other situations as well that Chelsea are working on and need to sort out – one of which being the future of Kendry Paez.

His loan spell at sister club Strasbourg has not gone well at all, and he’s barely been playing there. Chelsea are now going to look to recall him from his loan and sort out the next move for the youngster.

Paez to English clubs?

As picked up on X, Fabrizio Romano said on Paez this week:

“There is an idea to send Kendry Paez to an English club to get used to the English Football, he won’t remain at Chelsea if recalled. Next week, we could know more on Paez.”

I believe this would really be more about freeing up a foreign loan spot than anything else, so Chelsea could loan out one of the players they want out this window.
