Thiago Almada and Juan Foyth have been ruled out of Argentina’s squad through injury and will miss a triple-header of home friendlies. The federation announced that both players have been withdrawn for the fixtures.

Both had been carrying issues. Almada was taken off after five minutes of River’s match with Huracán on matchday 10 of the Torneo Clausura, and tests confirmed a grade one quadriceps tear.

Foyth had already missed Villarreal’s recent games in Spain with a muscle problem.

There is no confirmation yet on who could replace them.
