Thiago earns first call-up to Portugal Under-18s

Center-back Thiago was called up this Wednesday (09/16) to represent Portugal’s Under-18 national team. Part of the best defense in the Brasileirão U-17, a competition in which Fluminense are second in the standings, the Xerém youth product will compete in the 42nd edition of the Porto International Tournament. This is the first call-up for the Rio de Janeiro-born player, who holds dual nationality.

Under head coach Ricardo Duarte, the 23-player Portuguese squad will face Uzbekistan, Romania and Turkey. The matches will be played between September 29 and October 5, in the cities of Penafiel, Paredes and Freamunde.
