Thierry Rendall’s move from Valencia to Venezia has quickly soured. The Serie A side sit bottom with zero points after five matches, scoring four and conceding 13.

According to Superdeporte, he has started only two of the five league fixtures, come on twice from the bench and remained unused once, totalling 185 minutes.

His starts came against Lecce and Lazio, playing 64 and 76 minutes respectively. He was a late substitute against Milan, 24 minutes, and Fiorentina, 21 minutes, and stayed on the bench against Frosinone.

Compounding matters, all four appearances have been at left wing-back, not in his natural right-back role.
