Eberechi Eze has shared the highest praise for on-loan Manchester United star Marcus Rashford after playing with the forward on England duty.

The two attackers will be crossing their fingers that their stellar form this season will continue throughout the second half of 2024/2025 and earn them World Cup call-ups next summer.

For Rashford, he looks to be a shoo-in as long as he can continue playing at the same level.

Since swapping his boyhood club for the Catalan giants in July, Rashford has been not only one of Barcelona’s, but also La Liga’s top performers thus far, returning two goals and seven assists in his first 12 league appearances.

In Europe, he’s notched a hugely impressive six goal contributions, scoring four times and assisting twice in only four Champions League matches.

His tremendous showings will likely have INEOS chiefs ruing the fact that they set his buy option at a measly £26 million, as it’s now looking as though it’ll be an absolute steal for the Blaugrana.

The 28-year-old took his England caps from 66 to 68 over the break when he featured for the Three Lions in their final World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, and assisted in the latter.

Eze, who joined current Premier League leaders Arsenal in a £67.5m deal over the summer, is also enjoying an extended run of action for his nation under Thomas Tuchel, having played in their last three qualifying games.

When put on the spot regarding which England teammate impressed him most during camp, Eze told the Beast Mode On podcast: “I’d say my first session was Rashy [Rashford].

“So I’ve known him or known of him because he’s played in a similar age group. Across the country, when you go to tournaments, you see him and stuff like that. And so I’ve always known he’s a good player, but for that first camp, I remember going away like, ‘okay, this guy’s part of some other stuff.’

“The way he strikes the ball. The way he’s running with the ball, how he operates is. He’s an incredible, incredible player. And so, nah, I’ll be honest, I enjoy watching him.”
