Thomas Bramall has been appointed to referee Leeds United’s Premier League trip to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke previously declined to discuss Bramall, saying it was not for him to comment and that he could not influence it. That stance followed a 2-1 home defeat by Spurs, when he noted the last time Bramall officiated it became a big talking point that led to a letter.
Bramall first took charge of Leeds in a 5-2 FA Cup win over Cardiff City. He later oversaw a 1-1 draw at Luton Town, then the Spurs match at Elland Road.
His most recent Leeds assignment was the Elland Road meeting with Palace earlier this season, which Leeds won 4-1. He awarded the visitors a 90th-minute penalty converted by Justin Devenny as consolation.
Leeds have two wins, one draw and one defeat from Bramall’s four games in charge. This season he has shown 100 yellow cards in 25 matches, three reds and awarded seven penalties.
Lee Betts and Matthew Wilkes will run the lines, with Paul Tierney as fourth official. James Bell is Video Assistant Referee, supported by Craig Taylor.
