Thomas Tuchel reveals what has changed in Barcelona star Anthony Gordon’s game | OneFootball

Up to eight FC Barcelona players won the 2026 World Cup a few months ago, and several players from the Catalan club are once again impressing with their national teams in this September international break. This is particularly the case with Lamine Yamal, who has kept up the incredible form he showed early in this season with the Spanish national team.

Meanwhile, another Blaugrana forward who has shone during this break is Anthony Gordon. Although he is yet to open his goal account with Barcelona, the Englishman has scored in all the three games he has played for his national side in this break.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, his national team coach, Thomas Tuchel, highlighted the improvement in Gordon’s game, and expressed his happiness with how the player has taken his game up a notch:

“He now plays with much more aggression, with more confidence. I see a player full of confidence and belief. He has reached another level… He has been very decisive in all three matches.”

Although he has scored in the last three games for England, Gordon’s impact is also shown by the fact that he has been directly involved in at least one goal for his national team for seven consecutive games now.

During the World Cup, he provided two assists in the game against DR Congo, then one assist in each game against Mexico and Norway, and scored a goal against Argentina in the semi-final. After that, in this international break, he has scored in all the games, against Czech Republic, Spain, and Croatia.

Meanwhile, he has also been decisive in La Liga, having already registered four assists, and only Lamine Yamal, with six assists, is ahead of him in this regard. These performances are showing why FC Barcelona made such a significant investment in him this summer, and hopefully, he will continue performing at this level for the entirety of the season.
