Last night’s win over Wolves was basically a good news story for Chelsea. The Blues started slow but finished strong and racked up a 3-0 win by full time.

It wasn’t all sunshine and roses though – there were injury concerns, and Enzo Maresca discussed them all at full time.
“[Moises Caicedo] was OK, just a kick in his knee in the first half. He finished the game. I asked him after the game if he was OK,” the manager explained.
“Pedro Neto and Enzo [Fernandez], they asked for a change because Pedro had a problem with his groin and Enzo had a problem with his knee.
“So we need to see how they are now.”
We already know that Enzo has withdrawn from international duty with Argentina this week because of that knee problem. It remains to be seen whether Neto will do something similar. Portugal need just a point to qualify for the World Cup, and the winger doesn’t have much to prove to Roberto Martinez at this point, so we can see him joining Fernandez at Cobham for some rest and recovery.
We would love Caicedo to join them, but as far as we know so far, he will be heading off for Ecuador duty tomorrow as normal. Fingers crossed there’s an update on that front too…
Joao Pedro had a good game for the Blues, thriving with the help of Liam Delap up top and scoring a nice goal. His stats showed a much improved player in this setup.
Chelsea’s use of an attacking 6 to counteract Wolves’ back 5 worked well in the second half, and Gary O’Neill called it “classic Enzo Maresca” in his punditry for Sky Sports.
