Leicester City suffered a second loss in a row on Saturday with a 3-2 defeat to Sheffield United
Abdul Fatawu has issued a message to Leicester City supporters amid uncertainty over Martí Cifuentes’ future after their 3-2 loss to Sheffield United.
The South Yorkshire outfit took a first half 3-0 lead on Saturday afternoon, before second half goals from Stephy Mavididi and Jordan James pulled the Foxes back into the contest.
However, Cifuentes’ side were unable to complete their comeback, suffering a second defeat in a row after their 3-0 midweek loss to Southampton, and pressure is mounting on the Spanish coach due to the team’s disappointing start to life back in the Championship.
Leicester were expected to compete for promotion to the Premier League this season, but instead find themselves sitting in the bottom half of the table at the start of December, and a points deduction could yet come for allegedly breaching EFL spending rules when they were promoted two seasons ago under Enzo Maresca.

Ghanaian winger Fatawu has posted on social media that it is time for Leicester supporters and players to stick together amid their underwhelming league position.
He thanked the fans for their support against Sheffield United, and believes the team can come back fighting stronger next time out.
“This is the time to stick together as a team and learn from our mistakes and come back stronger on Saturday,” wrote Fatawu, via Instagram.
“Thanks to the foxes, the second half support was amazing.”
Fatawu featured for all 90 minutes in their 3-2 loss at home to Sheffield United, with the winger playing in all 18 of their league fixtures so far this season.
The 21-year-old has contributed three goals and five assists, including setting up Mavididi’s back-post header in the 53rd minute against Chris Wilder’s side.
Their latest defeat though at the the hands of the Blades has left Leicester 16th in the Championship table, five points adrift of the play-offs and seven clear of the relegation zone.
This recent run of form has mounted the pressure on Cifuentes, who will need results in the coming weeks in order to stave off this threat against his position.

Leicester are still only five points outside of the top six despite their poor form, so they can still salvage their season if they can start picking up consistent results - although the lingering threat of a points deduction will not help.
However, their recent performances don’t indicate that an immediate turnaround is likely, and their promotion hopes are quickly slipping from their grasp.
Cifuentes is under a lot of pressure now, and another loss next weekend against Derby will make it even more difficult, and simply put, he needs a reaction from his team, otherwise he could be relieved of his duties after only being appointed in the summer.
