TNT Sports is investigating a Discovery+ outage that cut coverage of West Ham United’s penalty shootout win over Brentford on Monday night. According to NY Times, viewers on the app lost the stream after half-time while the main TV channel continued as normal.

The feed disappeared after the first half and did not return until the start of extra time, leaving many users frustrated. The broadcaster acknowledged complaints on social media, apologised, and said the issue had been resolved by restarting the app.

The company has begun a debrief to establish the cause, as it does after any technical fault. There has been no formal statement beyond its online response.

It is impossible to say with complete certainty that it will not recur, but there is no indication it will affect tonight’s Champions League coverage. TNT Sports is also scheduled to show West Ham United’s Premier League fixture against Manchester City on Saturday evening.

The network streams about 700 live matches each season, and Monday’s problem was an outlier against that volume. It remains a long-standing Premier League partner, airing 52 live matches a season under a deal running to 2028-29.

It holds rights to more than 185 live Champions League matches, plus every Europa League and Conference League tie, although those European rights are set to pass to Paramount+ from 2027. Its FA Cup package began this season on a four-year term, with the final shown free-to-air.
