NEOM Sports Club will compete in next season’s Roshn Saudi League after sealing promotion on Tuesday night.
The highly ambitious First Division League leaders secured their place in the 2025-26 RSL with a 3-0 victory against Al Arabi Club in Tabuk, with Ahmad Abdu netting a brace and on-loan Olympique Lyon forward Said Benrahma grabbing the other.
Commemorating their first promotion to the top tier of Saudi football, a post on NEOM SC's social media channels spoke of an “exceptional season”.
In an accompanying statement, chairman Meshari Al Mutairi said: “We proudly congratulate all NEOM [Sports Club] supporters on this well-deserved promotion.
"Today marks the beginning of a new phase of hard work as we prepare for the upcoming Roshn Saudi League season - with all its challenges and responsibilities.
“We remain committed to continuous development and to working together as one team toward greater achievements."
NEOM SC, who feature RSL title winners Salman Al Faraj, Mohammed Al Burayk and Ahmed Hegazi, achieved promotion with four rounds remaining as they close in on the second-tier crown.
Currently top with 69 points, they are 10 points clear of second-placed Al Najmah and 15 ahead of Al Adalah in third. The top two gain a spot in next season’s RSL, with those teams ranked three to six contesting a play-off to earn promotion also.
NEOM SC are managed by Brazilian Pericles Chamusca, who boasts top-flight experience courtesy of previous spells at Al Faisaly, Al Hilal, Al Shabab and, most recently, Al Taawoun.
