At long last, Togo’s national team has found its new head coach. The man at the helm is Patrice Neveu, as officially announced in a statement released on February 19, 2026.

The statement reads: "The Togolese Football Federation (FTF) is pleased to inform all sports fans and supporters of the Hawks that Mr. Patrice Neveu has been appointed as the new national coach, to lead the senior national team."

The announcement also stated that the new Hawks coach is expected to arrive in Lomé within the next few hours to finalize the terms of his contract.

Patrice Neveu, a 71-year-old Frenchman, is a seasoned expert in African football, having previously managed the national teams of Guinea, Mauritania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and most recently Gabon from 2019 to 2023.
