Nantes have signed left-back Tom Raiani to a three-year professional contract, as the club sit second-bottom in Ligue 1. He is the second player from their 2008 generation to turn professional.

According to L'Équipe, the 18-year-old is viewed as one of the standout prospects at La Jonelière and is a regular in France youth squads. The club had prioritised securing his signature, with internal changes anticipated this summer.

The France Under-18 international offers a high work-rate, a strong left foot and notable versatility. In recent weeks he has been used in defensive midfield.

Raiani previously played that role at Under-15 level with Stade Lavallois, before joining La Jonelière four years ago.

He follows Tylel Tati in making the step up, after Tati signed professional terms in October last year.
