Tómasson seals stoppage-time win as Samsunspor climb to seventh

Samsunspor beat Kayserispor 2-1 at the Samsun Yeni 19 Mayıs Stadyumu, climbing from ninth to seventh in the Süper Lig thanks to Logi Tómasson's stoppage-time winner.
Antoine Makoumbou, on for the injured Olivier Ntcham early on, turned in Elayis Tavşan's cross in the 31st minute.
After the restart, Kayserispor levelled when Toni Borevkovic diverted into his own net (46.). Moments later, Fedor Chalov struck the left post (48.).
Substitute Joe Mendes supplied the decisive cross for Tómasson to finish in the second minute of second half stoppage time.
Samsunspor controlled possession at 67.4% and registered eight shots on target. Kayserispor mustered two efforts on target, with Bilal Bayazit making six saves to keep them in it.
Samsunspor visit Caykur Rizespor next. Kayserispor stay 17th and host Fatih Karagümrük next.
