Tommy Watson is expected to be available for loan this summer, with several Championship clubs interested, according to Sky Sports.

The 20-year-old has found game time limited at the Amex. He scored on his Brighton debut in a 6-0 EFL Cup win over Oxford United, then joined Millwall on loan for the closing months of the 2025-26 season.

Watson left Sunderland for Brighton last summer in a £10m deal after his stoppage-time winner against Sheffield United in the Championship play-off final at Wembley. The goal completed the comeback and sent Régis Le Bris’ side back to the Premier League for the first time since 2017.

The Horden-born winger progressed through Sunderland’s academy from under-nine level and made his senior debut in April 2023 against Huddersfield Town. He signed a new three-year contract in September 2023 after a back injury disrupted the start of 2023-24.

His breakthrough came in December 2024 with his first league goals in a 2-1 win over Stoke City. He officially joined Brighton on 1 June, committing to a long-term contract through to 2029.
