Italy international Sandro Tonali took a few days off from Newcastle United and used it to cheer on his childhood club Brescia in the Serie C play-offs.
The midfielder celebrated his 26th birthday earlier this month and was given some time to relax ahead of the final round of the Premier League season.
He took the opportunity to return home, but couldn’t keep away from football for long.

Tonali was a special guest of Union Brescia and was in the stands cheering them on in the Serie C play-off against Casarano at the Stadio Rigamonti.
He joined the Brescia youth academy at the age of 12 and moved his way up the ranks, becoming a regular in the senior squad.
It allowed him to get a move to his dream club Milan in 2020, the side he had always supported, and then on to Newcastle United in the summer of 2023.
Brescia have changed a lot in that time too, as the club went bankrupt in June 2025 and were excluded from the Serie C tournament.
They were reborn as Union Brescia last summer and are now battling for promotion with a special fan in the stands.
