West Brom will be aiming to turn things around next season under James Morrison.

The Baggies narrowly avoided relegation to League One, coming 21st in the Championship table, just four points clear of the relegation zone.

Morrison helped Albion steer clear of the drop, which led to him becoming the permanent head coach.

He will now be preparing his side for the upcoming campaign, where the club will be targeting a climb up the standings given some of the lofty wages they are estimated to be paying out.

Here we use estimated figures from Capology to rank the top seven players in the West Brom squad based on how much they earn:

Callum Styles - £17,500 p/w

Callum Styles was an integral part of the first team squad last season, making 45 appearances in the Championship, including 41 starts.

And the 26-year-old is the seventh highest paid member of the team, earning £17,500 per week, having agreed a contract with the club just last month that runs for another four years.

Alfie Gilchrist - £20,000 p/w

Alfie Gilchrist made only 13 appearances for West Brom last season, including eight starts, in a tricky first season with the Championship side.

He will be hoping for more in 2026/27 under Morrison, and the club will feel likewise given he is currently receiving £20,000 per week.

Jayson Molumby - £20,000 p/w

Jayson Molumby has been a consistent presence for West Brom over the years, and that was true again in 2025/26, as he made 38 appearances from 46 league fixtures.

The midfielder contributed two goals and two assists, which is why he has earned a salary from the Baggies worth £20,000-a-week.

Alex Mowatt - £22,500 p/w

Alex Mowatt was a regular presence for West Brom last season, making 39 appearances for the Midlands outfit as they narrowly avoided relegation.

The 31-year-old had a difficult start to life at the Hawthorns, but has cemented himself as a core part of the squad, which has earned him a weekly salary worth £22,500.

Krystian Bielik - £25,000 p/w

Krystian Bielik arrived in the 2025 summer transfer window following his departure from Birmingham City, but he ultimately only played 17 times for the Baggies in the Championship.

However, the experienced 28-year-old arrived on a three-year deal that runs until June 2028, and is worth £25,000 per week, making him the third-best member of the team currently.

Chris Mepham - £35,000 p/w

Chris Mepham is another signing from the 2025 summer transfer window, although the 28-year-old had a larger impact at the Hawthorns last season compared to Bielik.

The former Bournemouth player made 25 league appearances in the first campaign of his three-year deal with the club, having signed for a wage worth £35,000 per week.

Nat Phillips - £40,000 p/w

Nat Phillips was a big money signing from Liverpool during the 2025 summer transfer window, with the defender arriving after a series of loan spells across the Championship.

The centre-back became the highest paid player at West Brom as a result of the move, agreeing to a three-year deal that sees him earn £40,000 per week.

The defender started all 40 of his appearances for Albion in 2025/26, and Morrison will be hoping for big things from him over the next 12 months.
