Torino pursue Ajax talent Fitz-Jim, welcome Comert and wait for Perri | OneFootball

Torino welcome free agent Eray Comert for his medical, and close on Ajax midfielder Kian Fitz-Jim, while they wait for Leeds United to release Lucas Perri.

The Granata are very active on the transfer market and hope to get several deals over the line this week.

Comert landed this afternoon at Caselle Airport in Turin and will undergo medical tests today and tomorrow.

The 28-year-old defender is a free agent after his contract with Valencia was allowed to run down, and is a Switzerland international with 23 senior caps for his country.

A deal is also done with Leeds United for Perri, but it’s reported the goalkeeper won’t be allowed to leave for his medical until the replacement is signed.

Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Torino are in advanced negotiations with Ajax for midfielder Fitz-Jim.

He just turned 23 earlier this month and his contract with the Dutch giants expires at the end of the season, making him an appetising prospect on the market.

Fitz-Jim is a product of the Ajax academy and made 22 competitive appearances last term, contributing one goal.

Torino also have an agreement in place with Fiorentina for defender Pietro Comuzzo, on loan for €1m with an option to buy for a further €19m.
